The Board of Veterinary Examiners promotes health, safety, and welfare by examining and licensing applicants for veterinary medicine. They also inspect and register licensed veterinarians. 6 licensed veterinarians are appointed to the board that has at least 3 years experience. There shall be a mix of veterinarians representing both the rural and urban population as well as veterinarians who work with big and small animals. 1 public member will be appointed who must be a resident of the state for five years or longer. They also cannot have a spouse or family member who is a veterinarian and they must have no education veterinarian medicine.
