The Pooled Money Investment Board provides investment policy for state idle funds.  They invest the money available from the State General Fund and the hundreds of other state funds deposited with the State Treasurer.  The Pooled Money Investment Board also provides investment management services for other state agencies with investment portfolios, such as the Kansas Department of Transportation and Health Care Stabilization funds.  The Governor appoints 4 people with at least 10 years of direct work experience in the areas of finance, accounting, or management of investments or shall have at least a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of direct work experience in the same areas.  No more than 3 members of the same political party.  Governor selects the chair.
