The Kansas Sentencing Commission develops post-implementation monitoring procedures and reporting methods to evaluate guideline sentences.  They advise and consult with Secretary of Corrections on various issues and consult and advise legislature as to implementation management, monitoring, maintenance and operations of the sentencing guidelines system. Coordinates Statistical Aanalysis Center Grants (SAC) in Kansas.  The Sentencing Commission also tracks and reports custodial deaths on national crime registrys to agencies on state and national level.  No more than three members appointed by the Governor shall be of the same political party.  Members are eligible for reappointment.
