The Board of Examiners for Hearing Aids regulates the licensing of examiners and market of hearing aids. One member from a list of three nominated by the Kansas Hearing Aid Association and one member from a list of three nominated by the Kansas Speech Language and Hearing Association, both of which are licensed in the state as hearing instrument fitters and dispensers. One licensed hearing instrument fitter and dispenser who is not an audiologist. Two public members who are not currently engaged in the practice of fitting and dispensing hearing instruments. All members are appointed by the Governor for a term of three years.
