Certificates and Awards

Governor Kelly is pleased to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the State of Kansas. Below, please find the guidelines for requesting a certificate or award.

• Certificates are issued only to Kansas residents
• The honoree must have made a direct contribution to Kansas
• The nominee may not be the same as the nominator
• The Governor’s office reserves the right to rescind a certificate if false or misleading information is provided in the nomination application.
• Certificate request must be made 4 weeks prior to the date needed.  If submitted with less than 4 weeks our office cannot guarantee processing.

Special Occasion Letters

Governor Kelly is pleased to recognize birthday, anniversaries, Girl Scout and Boy Scout acknowledgments. Below, please find guidelines for requesting special occasion requests.

• Birthdays over the age of 75
• Anniversaries to couple who are celebrating their 50th or subsequent anniversary
• Retirements, including military service
• Eagle Scout and Gold Award recognition
• Special occasion letters must be made 4 weeks prior to the date needed.  If submitted with less than 4 weeks our office cannot guarantee processing.

Greeting Letters

Governor Kelly is pleased to provide letters of greetings to be used in programs, brochures, and other publications for events taking place in Kansas. Below, please find the guidelines for requesting greeting letters.

• The decision to write these letters is completely at the discretion of the Governor and her staff.
• To request a greeting message please submit your request at least 30 days prior to the printing or event deadline.
