Encourage employees to utilize this new convenient healthcare location at 901 S. Kansas Ave.

The State Employee Health Plan (SEHP) announced today the opening of a new health center location in downtown Topeka for state employees and their families, where they can receive convenient healthcare services.

“Healthy employees are happier, more productive employees,” Governor Laura Kelly said. “It’s important state employees feel they have access to the healthcare they need, when they need it.”

SEHP partnered with Marathon Health to provide medical, behavioral, and preventive care with a physician, two nurse practitioners, a mental health counselor, a registered nurse, and three medical assistants. The HealthQuest Health Center will be located on 901 S. Kansas Ave. in Topeka, Kansas and will open May 1, 2019. The center will be open Monday through Friday from 8am – 5pm.

HealthQuest Health Center will operate as an urgent care clinic or outpatient medical center, and provide high-quality medical care when needed. Services include: treatment for common illnesses and injuries, blood tests, limited prescription dispensing, chronic condition management, health coaching, and behavioral health counseling.

Employees, spouses, and their dependents ages 2+ covered by the SEHP will be eligible for services provided by the center. All preventive visits will be provided free of cost regardless of health plan enrollment. Healthcare services will be provided at no cost for Plan A members. Medical visits will require a $40 fee for members with Plans C, J, N, and Q.

The healthcare provided at HealthQuest Health Center is available for state employees to use if they choose and these services may be used to supplement the care employees receive from their primary care provider (PCP). The care employees receive at the health center and their personal health information are protected by state and federal law.
