Governor Laura Kelly today toured Hostess Brands, LLC in Lenexa, and Dentec Safety Specialists, Inc., on the last day of her Back in Business Tour.
At Hostess, Governor Kelly spoke with staff working to develop new and enhance existing snack cake products. The company’s world-class Innovation Lab provides Hostess with testing capabilities and market research insight to meet consumer needs and expectations.

Following the tour of Hostess, Governor Kelly visited Dentec Safety Specialists, a facemask and safety solution manufacturer. On the tour, Governor Kelly discussed how the company uses state-of-the-art automation to increase production of charcoal cartridges, filtration machines, and face shield cutter machines. She also thanked company leaders for their work producing personal protective equipment to protect Kansas communities from COVID-19.
