TOPEKA – In accordance with Executive Order #20-30, Governor Laura Kelly today ordered flags throughout Gove County, Kansas, to be flown at half-staff Wednesday, December 23, 2020, from sunup to sundown, in honor of Gove County Sheriff Allan Weber, who died after a battle with COVID-19 for more than 2 months.

“I want to offer my sincere condolences to the family of Sheriff Allan Weber,” Governor Laura Kelly said. “For 24 years he served and protected his community, but he also cared for his family and his farm and dedicated his time to supporting students. We owe Sheriff Weber a debt of gratitude for his lifelong commitment to his community.
