Governor Kelly Announces
Administration Appointments

TOPEKA – Today, Governor Laura Kelly announced 12 appointments and 11 reappointments to the following state boards and commissions.

State Board of Cosmetology
Purpose: The board is charged with regulation of the profession of cosmetology and its educational institutions.

  • Ben Foster, Executive Director


Early Childhood Transition Task Force
Purpose: The task force is charged with reviewing Kansas’ early childhood care and education system and developing a roadmap for creating a cabinet-level agency dedicated to supporting our youngest Kansans.

  • Molly Baumgardner, Louisburg


Citizen’s Utility Ratepayers Board
 
Purpose: To provide efficient and effective legal and technical representation for residential and small commercial utility ratepayers and to ensure that utilities are allowed to charge only just and reasonable rates to Kansans.

KANSASWORKS State Board
Purpose: To oversee and coordinate all employment and training programs and activities and to become a world-class workforce development/employment system.  The Board provides information to the Governor, Legislature, public and private agencies, and the public on matters pertaining to employment and training programs, services, and facilities.
