Administration Appointments
TOPEKA – Today, Governor Laura Kelly announced 2 appointments and 8 reappointments to the following state boards and commissions.
Kansas Board of Healing Arts
Purpose: The purpose of the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts is the regulation of eleven healthcare professions and to ensure that these healthcare professionals meet and maintain certain qualifications in order to protect the public from incompetent practice, unprofessional conduct, and other proscribed behavior by individuals who have been credentialed to practice in Kansas.

- Sherri Wattenbarger, Overland Park (reappointment)
Kansas Hispanic and Latino American Affairs Commission
Purpose: The executive director of the commission may appoint, subject to the approval of the commission and the governor, technical advisors and assistants to develop, assist and cooperate with local commissions on issues affecting the Hispanic and Latino community.

Kansas Sentencing Commission
Purpose: Develop a sentencing guideline model or grid based on fairness and equity and shall provide a mechanism for linking justice and corrections policies.
