Governor Kelly appointed Karen Hibbard, Manhattan, to the Council on Travel and Tourism.

The mission of the Council is to advise on the development of new tourist attractions in Kansas and expansion of existing tourist attractions.

“It’s clear that Hibbard has the initiative to be an effective member of the Council,” Kelly said. “Her experience in tourism will help keep our state on the right track.”

Hibbard is the Vice President of the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce and the director of the Manhattan Convention and Visitors Bureau. She is a graduate of Fort Hays State University and is experienced in the tourism industry.
