Governor Laura Kelly appointed Brooks Wederski to the 911 Coordinating Council.
The Council monitors the delivery of 911 services in Kansas, develops strategies for future enhancements to the 911 system and distributes available grant funds to public safety answering points.
“The work of the Council is vital for maintaining, enhancing and coordinating the 911 system as the primary means of access for Kansans who need emergency public safety services,” Kelly said. “Brooks has the information technology experience needed to fulfill this role.”
Wederski, Colby, serves the City of Colby as its assistant technology director. He has been appointed to a seat on the Council specified for IT personnel from a government unit.
