Governor Kelly Announces Staff Change


TOPEKA
–  Governor Laura Kelly announced today Ana Nixon has joined the Kelly Administration to serve as communications director.

“I am confident that Ana’s skills and leadership experience will make her an invaluable part of my team,” Governor Laura Kelly said. “I welcome her expertise and look forward to working with her in this role.”

Nixon joins the Kelly Administration after serving as the internal communications senior supervisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Previously, she worked as a communications specialist at Fike Corporation and as a public information officer for the City of Grandview, Missouri.

“I’m honored to be part of Governor Kelly’s team and lead communications efforts for her office,” said Ana Nixon. “I’m eager to help Kansans have greater insight of matters of their government.”

Nixon holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora in Brazil, and a Master of Arts in Communications from the University of Kansas.
