Administration Appointments

TOPEKA— Today, Governor Laura Kelly announced 7 appointments to the following state boards. 

Washburn University Board of Regents
Purpose: To manage property, estate, and funds given, transferred, and pledged to the university. 

• Linda Jeffrey, Topeka 

Kansas Board of Nursing
Purpose: To protect the public’s health, safety, and welfare through the licensure and regulation process of the nursing professions. 

• Andrea Pettey-Watson, Shawnee (reappointment) 
• Dr. Amy Hite, Pittsburg 

Wichita State University Board of Trustees
Purpose: To manage property, estate, and funds given, transferred, and pledged to the university. 

• Junette Everett, Wichita (reappointment) 
• Tracee Adams, Wichita (reappointment) 
• Kevin McWhorter, Wichita (reappointment) 

Long-Term Care Ombudsman
Purpose: To advocate for residents of long-term care facilities including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, residential care facilities, and boarding care homes.
