“The news this morning that China has dropped its anti-dumping probe into imports of U.S. sorghum is great news for Kansas farmers and is an important sign of progress in our efforts to resolve trade tension with China. The unfounded dumping claim had devastating effects on the sorghum market in Kansas and across the U.S., as prices plummeted.

“From the time this investigation began in early February, I have been meeting with farmers, traders, the Trump administration and the Chinese Consul General to push for a resolution which would protect Kansas farmers. Kansas is the leading sorghum producing state in the nation, and I will continue to stand side by side with Kansas farmers to fight for fair trade practices.”
